Johnson, also known fondly as Kaylo, was shot by policemen on Sunday when the officers raided Olu Aboderin Street, Onipetesi area of Lagos allegedly in search of youths wearing dreadlocks.

The victim was taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Ikeja, but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors.

In a tweet in the early hours of Monday, Ms George wrote that she was sorry she was not there to stop the bleeding. She added that the government had failed Johnson and that she was sorry it ended the way it did.
