Veteran comic actor, John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu, has made an emotional plea for assistance regarding a severe medical condition he is currently battling.
In a video shared on his Instagram account, Mr. Ibu revealed that he has been grappling with an illness, necessitating his hospitalization for several weeks.
He said his condition has reached a critical stage, and the medical director of the hospital has informed him that, if other treatment options fail, amputating his leg may be necessary.
He appealed for prayers and assistance, saying, “Just see me, if they cut off my leg, where would I go? Pray for me, I don’t want my leg to be cut off, thank you so much, God bless you.”
In the video, Mr. Ibu’s daughter and wife urged Nigerians to pray for him and offer financial support.
The daughter revealed that she has been handling the medical bills during his illness and emphasized that the family is financially drained.
They expressed their desire to seek advanced medical treatment abroad to address his deteriorating health.
