Former President Goodluck Jonathan has alleged that there are plots by some unnamed persons to smear his image.
The ex-president made the allegation in a post shared on his Facebook page a few hours ago.
He wrote,

It has been brought to my attention that while I am away promoting democracy in Sierra Leone, a campaign will be unleashed against me to falsely impugn my name using both faceless and identified persons.

When I was in power I said my ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Even out of power, I continue to hold that belief.

What I will say however, is that no matter how far and fast falsehood has traveled, it must eventually be overtaken by truth. GEJ.

Meanwhile, Jonathan just returned from Sierra Leone where he visited to promote democracy. His allegation might not be unconnected to the recent accusation from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who opened a can of worms when he alleged that the former president shared the sum of N150 billion barely two weeks to 2015 elections.
The former president, however, did not refer to Osinbajo as he did not mention any name in his post, but it is believed he could be referring to him and other figures that might be brought to the fore as preparations for 2019 general elections gather momentum.
