Muslim man blasts Rahama Sadau for celebrating birthday, says it’s not a day to be happy

According to a Muslim man, identified as Auwal Yahaya who went on to slam Kannywood star, Rahama Sadau for celebrating herself on her birthday claims he did so because it is not permitted in Islam.

Rahama Sadau had taken to her official Twitter handle to celebrate her 27th birthday on December 7, 2020.

Rahama shared a photo of herself in a turtle neck and head tie and wrote a few words of appreciation to herself.

“Ya Allah, Thank you for blessing me with a year full of breakthroughs. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !! #7thDec #27,” she tweeted.

Auwal Yahaya replied to the actress by noting that birthdays are not days for one to be happy, adding that it is a day for her to ask for forgiveness from God.

He also said that according to Islamic doctrines, birthdays are not allowed.

“This day is not a day that you be happy, Is a day that you ask forgiveness from Allah Birthday is not allowed in Islam,” he said.
