MURIC praises Ooni of Ife for donating locally motorised fumigators
An Islamic Human Rights Organisation known as Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has joined groups and other Nigerians in praising and commending the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for donating locally-motorised modular fumigators and drones to some states as part of his contributions to the fight against COVID-19.
This was disclosed in a chat by the director of the group, Prof Ishaq Akintola.
Akintola said Oba Ogunwusi’s initiative was impressive.
Akintola described the ruler as a shining example of a proactive monarch, who should be emulated by other rulers in the country.
He said: “He has broken the myth of the redundancy of the traditional institution not only in Nigeria but in Africa.

The traditional ruler of Ile-Ife has also given a practical example of how traditional rulers can join hands with the government in providing solutions to problems arising in our society.
