MTV to honour Chadwick Boseman with posthumous award

MTV is set to honour late Blankpanther star, Chadwick Boseman, with a posthumous  Movie & TV Award on December 6.

This comes a week after the iconic thespian was remembered by family and friends on his a posthumous birthday on November 29.

Boseman who would have turned 44-years-old died on the 28 August 2020 at 43 years and 92 days to his birthday after a long battle with colon cancer.

Via MTV, it’s been revealed that fellow MCU legends Robert Downey Jr and Don Cheadle are presenting the Black Panther actor with the ‘Hero for the Ages’ award at the ceremony – just over three months since he sadly passed away.

The award goes to someone “whose heroism onscreen was only surpassed by the true hero they were offscreen.”

The awards will air tonight (December 6) at 8pm ET/PT in the US, which is 1am tomorrow (December 7) in the UK on MTV.
