Street-pop singer Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, has publicly apologised to Nigerian music star Mr Eazi over their long-running fallout.

Mr Real made the apology during a recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he admitted that he made mistakes and failed to listen to advice given to him by Mr Eazi in the past.

Speaking emotionally, the singer said, “I am going to apologize to Mr. Eazi officially now. I am very, very sorry. I messed up. If to say I don listen to Mr. Eazi.”

He recalled how Mr Eazi once reached out to advise him about music and streaming matters but said he ignored the counsel because of misplaced loyalty.

“Eazi call me one day, say ‘Oga mi, I wan advise you. Make I advise you on top this streaming matter, on top this music matter.’ He talk for like 30 minutes. I no hear anything,” Mr Real said.

The Legbegbe crooner added that his loyalty to the wrong people cost him valuable opportunities.

“Because I too loyal. I too loyal to some people wey no suppose. Loyalty don put me for trouble,” he said.

Expressing deep regret, Mr Real suggested his life could have turned out differently if he had listened.

“If I hear wetin Eazi talk that day, maybe by now I for don get property for Lagos. I for don get house. Eazi, I am very sorry. Forgive me. I messed up,” he added.

The apology comes after tensions between both artistes in 2023, when Mr Real accused Mr Eazi and veteran singer D’banj of fraud over unpaid performance fees.

At the time, Mr Real went viral after alleging that he was not paid for his contribution to the hit song Overload. He made the claims during an appearance on the podcast Terms and Condition, where he spoke about his experience working with D’banj and Mr Eazi.

Mr Real said they recorded Overload without signing any contract and claimed that D’banj was aware of the arrangement but failed to intervene.

“We recorded Overload without a contract,” he said during the interview.

He also revealed that he once shared a close relationship with Mr Eazi and spoke with him regularly before issues emerged after the song’s release.
