Nigerian actor and activist Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has voiced his outrage on social media following reports that a secondary school student was fatally shot by police in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred while officers were chasing suspected internet fraudsters.

In the process, a stray bullet struck the student, who was in his father’s car en route to sit for his West African Examinations Council paper.

He was rushed to Welfare Hospital but was later confirmed dead.

Reacting to the incident, Mr Macaroni strongly criticized the Nigerian police, expressing his anger in a post that quickly went viral.

“Wicked, evil, callous, irresponsible, and shamelessly corrupt @PoliceNG just killed an innocent boy in broad daylight!!! Murderers,” he wrote.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation, with distressing footage of the boy’s lifeless body on a hospital stretcher circulating online. The hashtag #EndPoliceBrutality has resurfaced on X (formerly Twitter), as citizens demand justice and accountability.

Public frustration continues to mount over what many describe as reckless and unchecked police actions. The case has reignited calls for urgent reforms within the Nigerian Police Force.
