Morata’s scores, sees red as Benevento hold Juventus to 1-1 draw
Alvaro Morata was the goal scorer for Juventus as the Serie A champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Benevento at the Municipal Stadium Ciro Vigorito on Saturday.
Cristiano Ronaldo was missing in action for Andre Pirlo’s side as part of a pre-planned rest following a hectic November for both club and country.
Coached by AC Milan’s iconic striker, Fillipo Inzhagi, the home side fell behind as Juventus took the lead in 21th minute through Morata.
A glorious long ball from Chiesa inside his own half sails crossfield to the Spaniard on the edge of the box, and he coolly turns two defenders around before nestling in the right corner.
Benevento equalised few minutes before the whistle went off to mark the end of the first half through Gaetano Letizia (45+1′).
Morata received a bizarre booking after the final whitsle as he appeared to have said something to the referee who has immediately flashed him a red card.
