An unnamed woman has been battered by her husband for showing up at his house to reunite with their children, whom he had told she died years ago.
This was made public in the post shared on the Instagram page of the DPA a few hours ago, after the woman, who lost a tooth in the beating took her case to the advocacy agency for intervention.
The woman in her message to the agency alleged that her husband sent her away five years after their marriage.
She said he married a second wife after then, adding that he enrolled their children in a school far from home and told the school authorities that she was dead, therefore, no one should be allowed to visit the children.
The woman said she recently got information that the children now school close to their house, so she decided to visit them, but unfortunately for her, the estranged husband found out.
She said the ex-husband had earlier threatened to kill her if he sees her close to the children, noting that he almost carried out his threats when he battered her till she was bleeding.
