Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has accused her father-in-law’s “adopted” brother, Ayodele Famuyiwa, of threatening her and her son, Liam.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, Wunmi claimed that Famuyiwa, who lives in New Mexico, USA, has been bullying her for over 15 months. She alleged that he had spoken badly about her, cursed her son, and now openly threatened them during a TikTok live session.

She wrote, “Ayodele Famuyiwa, my father-in-law’s Power of Attorney and spokesperson who lives in New Mexico USA. For over 15 months, you have bullied me. You have dragged my name through the mud. You have spoken the most awful things about me. You have cursed my son. You have threatened me.”

Wunmi further stated that Famuyiwa had sworn that Liam would never inherit his father’s royalties. She called on Nigerians to be aware of the threats against her and her son.

“If anything happens to us, please let the world know that Ayodele Famuyiwa is responsible. He is after me. He is after my son. Our lives are in danger,” she added.

The grieving widow also urged her father-in-law to agree to a DNA test for Liam, stating that it was important for Mohbad’s sake. She explained that she had been ready for the test since 2023 but was afraid to speak up due to the continuous attacks against her and her son.

“Nigerians, please help me to beg my father-in-law to do DNA, if not for anything but for the sake of Mohbad. I’ve been ready since 2023. I didn’t just have the courage to speak up because of how he has used the media to attack my son and I. Liam doesn’t deserve to go through this,” Wunmi pleaded.

She expressed frustration over the delay in Mohbad’s burial, stating that the DNA test was the only thing holding it back.

“He knows once the DNA is done, he will be left with no choice than to bury my husband,” she said.

Wunmi also responded to those questioning why she was only speaking up now, saying it took her 17 months of constant bullying to gather the strength to speak out.

“It took everything in me to get to this point, seventeen months of relentless bullying. The strength I have gathered isn’t easy to rebuild. My husband deserves to rest. There’s no genuine reason why he is still at the morgue,” she wrote.
