The sister-in-law to the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Karimot Ogunbayo, has taken to social media in an emotional video where she tearfully expressed the challenges she has been facing.

In the video, Karimot claimed that her life was under threat and pleaded for her safety, stating that her children would be left to suffer if anything were to happen to her.

In a visibly distressed state, she alleged that some individuals were plotting against her, declaring, “If they want to kill me, let them go ahead.”

She repeatedly questioned the reason for the alleged hatred, branding Nigerians as “evil” and asking what wrong she had done to deserve such treatment.

The mother of two also addressed accusations linking her to the controversial death of Mohbad.

Karimot denied being the nurse who reportedly administered an injection to the late singer. She swore she had no knowledge of the nurse’s identity and distanced herself from any involvement in Mohbad’s passing. “I don’t know the nurse,” she stated, while lamenting that her act of kindness was being weaponized against her.

Speaking further, she expressed concern for her children’s future if she were to be harmed, noting they might be placed in welfare custody. She also mentioned that her husband could remarry, further compounding her distress. Karimot called out a person identified as Temmy, cursing them for the pain they allegedly caused her.

Karimot has previously made bold claims regarding the internal affairs of Mohbad’s family. In one instance, she alleged that Wunmi, Mohbad’s widow, used to physically assault her mother-in-law. She has also posted several videos making various allegations, including speculation around the cause of the late singer’s death.
