Popular musician and Marlian Records boss, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, has expressed gratitude following his acquittal in the case of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Recall that a Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, cleared Naira Marley, socialite Sam Larry, and Prime Boy of any involvement in Mohbad’s controversial death, citing a lack of evidence against them.

Reacting to the ruling, Naira Marley took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to celebrate what he described as his vindication. He shared a verse from the Holy Quran, writing, “And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, he will be enough for him. (65:3).”

Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Records, died in September 2023 under circumstances that fueled speculation and led to public outcry.

Viral videos of the late singer being harassed by associates linked to Naira Marley and Sam Larry intensified demands for justice.

Naira Marley, who was arrested alongside Sam Larry in October 2023 amid widespread calls for justice, had consistently maintained his innocence throughout the legal battle.
