Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Fuseini has returned to training after a violent daylight robbery in Brussels left him hospitalised and without his phone and luxury wristwatch.
According to FCUpdate, the Union Saint-Gilloise winger was sitting inside his parked car on Sunday when five hooded men approached and forcefully dragged him onto the street.
The attackers restrained the 24-year-old as he attempted to resist. Three members of the group reportedly held him down while another removed a Rolex Datejust from his wrist.
The watch is estimated to be worth between €8,000 and €14,000. The gang also took his smartphone before searching the vehicle for other valuables.
Footage of the incident showed Fuseini struggling with the attackers beside a parked van as people watched from a distance. The men eventually released him and fled after taking his belongings.

Fuseini was taken to a hospital following the attack, where doctors examined and treated him. Although the incident left him shaken, his injuries were not considered serious enough to keep him away from football activities for long.
The Ghana international returned to Union Saint-Gilloise training on Monday, a day after the robbery. His club said the images of the assault were disturbing and thanked the Brussels police for their assistance.
The club has continued to support Fuseini as authorities investigate the attack and search for those involved.
The robbery has raised fresh concerns about the security of footballers and other high-profile individuals who wear expensive watches or display valuable belongings in public.
Attackers target player in broad daylight
Fuseini was reportedly approached while alone in his vehicle. The group appeared to have targeted both the player and the valuables he was carrying.
Despite his attempts to fight back, he was outnumbered and overpowered. The attackers held him by the neck and body before taking the watch from his wrist.
Other members of the group searched the car while their accomplices kept the footballer restrained. They later fled the scene with his belongings.
Brussels authorities are examining footage of the attack as part of their investigation.
Fuseini continues preparations with Union
Fuseini joined Union Saint-Gilloise from Austrian club Sturm Graz in 2024 after spending time on loan at Danish side Randers.
He has since become an important member of the Belgian club and is regarded as a popular figure among teammates and supporters.
The winger recently scored the winning goal as Union Saint-Gilloise defeated Anderlecht in the Belgian Cup final.
Despite the frightening experience, Fuseini’s quick return to training suggests he could remain available as the club prepares for its upcoming fixtures.
Union Saint-Gilloise has not disclosed whether additional security measures will be provided for the player following the Mohammed Fuseini robbery.
