An unidentified was beaten to death in the A. A Koto area of Akwanga, Nasarawa State after being accused of stealing a Bajaj motorcycle on Friday.
According to Daily Post, the angry mob refused to handle the alleged thief over to the police and instead opted for a merciless beating, which ultimately led to his demise.
Bawa Kyuni, a resident and eyewitness, spoke of the tragic incident: “He was beaten until he died.”

Efforts to obtain an official response from the Nasarawa State Police Command have been fruitless so far.
However, the Nigerian Army soldiers have been dispatched to the scene to restore order and facilitate the removal of the deceased’s body.
