A Nigerian female job applicant may have just lost a job offer, no thanks to her perceived impatience and and over sensitivity to chats from men.
The lady identified as Chioma allegedly blocked a representative of Alpha Consulting who had reached out to her on WhastApp to keep her abreast of latest development on her job application.
A social media user @possibleoge shared screenshots of the conversation between Benson and Chioma on Twitter.
She tweeted:

In the screenshot shared on Twitter, a representative of the company, Benson had reached out to Chioma to inform her about the success of her job interview.
As Benson initiated the chat, an impatient Chioma, who was probably peeved by serial advances from men via the instant messaging app, didn’t give Benson opportunity to state his motive before blocking him.
The tweet had since generated mixed reactions among Nigerians on Twitter, placing Chioma and Benson at number one and two spots respectively on Twitter in Nigeria.
Popular career development expert, Dr Dipo Awojide in his reaction to the post tweeted:
“Both of them were wrong. Benson could have been more professional and Chioma could have replied in a more sensible tone.”

Y’all are quick to judge Chioma. The right thing to have done by anyone not just the company is to quickly state who you are and your purpose for contacting the minute you get the person’s attention. The world is toxic enough. Chioma might be trying to avoid another catastrophe.
