The brother of former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate Ocee Mbadiwe, Odera Mbadiwe, has been found safe and reunited with his family in Lagos after being declared missing earlier this week.
Odera, who was last seen on Monday, September 1, around Idowu Martins Street in Victoria Island, had been reported missing, sparking concern across social media and prompting a public appeal for information.
A family member, Ikechukwu Mbadiwe, confirmed his safe return in a post on Instagram.
He expressed deep gratitude to the public for their overwhelming support and assistance during the search effort.
Ikechukwu wrote: “!! ANNOUNCEMENT !! With hearts full of gratitude to God, we are overjoyed to announce that Odera has been found safely. We sincerely thank our dear friends, family, and the general public for the swift sharing of information, your calls, suggestions, and the outpouring of love and kind assistance that made this possible. At this time, we kindly request privacy for the family as they take time to recover from this harrowing experience. May God richly bless you all. GREG MBADIWE FAMILY.”
The Mbadiwe twins, Ozumba and Oseloka—popularly known as Ocee—rose to public attention following their participation in Big Brother Naija Season 9, which aired in July 2024.
In a separate development, actress Ashabi Simple, identified as singer Portable’s fourth wife, has taken to social media to share an emotional message about her marriage.
Ashabi, whose real name is Omobolarinde Akinyanju, made the post via her Instagram page, expressing her feelings regarding her marital experience. She is also known to be a Nollywood actress and mother to at least two of Portable’s children.
