Minister urges youths to serve Nigeria before making demands

Published

Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Kunle Salako, has called on youths to put the nation first before making requests.

Salako spoke on Sunday at the Ayetoro-Yewa Day held in Ayetoro, Yewa North LG, Ogun State.

The Minister, a native of Ayetoro, said that Nigerian youths should play a vital role in nation-building by serving the country faithfully wherever they are.

He noted that the youth can only expect the nation to serve them after serving Nigeria.

He likened this idea to a farmer who must sow and reap to get a harvest.

Salako advised the youth to realize that serving their land is a condition for it to reward them.

My advice, especially to the younger ones, is to prioritize serving our land before making demands of Nigeria. If you serve your land, your land will serve you,” he said.

He promised that Ogun would receive the highest priority of attention from the Federal Government, especially from the Federal Ministry of Environment.
