Michael Jackson accepted Christ two weeks before death – Rodney Jerkins

Famous American music producer, Rodney “Dark Child” Jerkins, has revealed that late pop legend Michael Jackson gave his life to Christ just two weeks before his death in 2009.

Jerkins shared this during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club. He said the moment Jackson accepted Christ was more important to him than any music project they worked on together.

“Having the opportunity to pray with Michael Jackson and have him accept Christ was the real gift from God,” Jerkins said.

While many fans know Jackson for his singing and dancing, this revelation shows a personal and spiritual side of the late singer that many were not aware of.

Jerkins explained that during Jackson’s funeral, gospel singer Sandra Crouch and vocal coach Seth Riggs confirmed that the King of Pop received Christ shortly before he died.

He said, “The ultimate reward is when I go to his funeral and Sandra Crouch and Seth Riggs say, ‘Michael received Christ two weeks ago.’”

Jerkins, who worked closely with Jackson on several songs, corrected radio host Charlamagne during the interview when he was praised for producing big hits. He said the most valuable experience of his career was being part of Michael Jackson’s spiritual journey.

A testimony video shared online also supported Jerkins’ claim. It said that three weeks before his passing, Michael asked gospel legend Andraé Crouch to play the song “It Won’t Be Long” on the piano. Andraé and his sister Sandra Crouch later prayed with Jackson, leading him to accept Jesus as his savior.

For many years, people had wondered about Michael Jackson’s religious beliefs. Raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, he often spoke about God in interviews but kept his personal faith private.

In past interviews, Jackson said, “Jesus, yes. Absolutely,” when asked about his belief in Christ. He also once shared, “Although I once believed God is in a Church, I now believe that God is everywhere, he’s in my heart…I now find God in those moments I spend with my children, I find God in the innocent.”

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50.
