Two men, Damilola Akinwande and Chibike Okoro, were on Thursday brought before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing a commercial tricycle worth N1.5 million.
Akinwande, 32, and Okoro, 32, are facing two charges of conspiracy and stealing.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the duo committed the offences on February 11 at No. 6, Soremi Omobonu St., Aboru Ipaja, Lagos.
Aigbokhan said that the defendants stole a tricycle, otherwise known as Keke Marwa, valued at N1.5 million belonging to the complainant, Mr Ifeanyi Onugbaja.
He said that the defendants stole the tricycle from where it was parked by the complainant.
He said the complainant reported the case to the police and defendants were later arrested.
He said the offences contravened sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
