RCCG ordains 10,806 deacons, 4,726 assistant pastors
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has ordained over 15,000 ministers at the ongoing 69th annual convention at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Presided over by the General Overseer of the ministry, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the convention on Wednesday produced 10,806 deacons and deaconesses as well as 4,726 Assistant Pastors comprising male and female ministers.
The 79-year old cleric charged the newly commissioned ministers to help the pastorate in its quest to move the Church forward to greater heights of glory.
A statement from the office of Assistant General Overseer in charge of Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, yesterday confirmed the ordination as part of the workforce of the church.
Themed ‘A New Wave of Glory,’ the convention will end on August 8, 2021.
The statement further stated that another 2,231 pastors will be added to the church workers on Saturday to close the convention after six days of a busy schedule, which started with a prayer walk from the old auditorium to the church’s 3 kilometres by 3 kilometres auditorium.
