One killed, two injured as building collapses in Rivers
At least one person has reportedly died on Thursday after a residential building collapsed in Woji, on the outskirts of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The PUNCH reports that two other people, who were said to be working on the building along with the deceased when the incident occurred, sustained injuries.
Although the cause of the collapse is yet to be determined, witnesses suggested that the recent severe floods in the State capital, Port Harcourt and its environs, could be responsible.
According to a survivor, the building had “integrity issues” and workers were carrying out some reinforcement work when the building collapsed.
