The Lagos State House of Assembly first female Deputy Speaker Honourable Adetoun Adediran is dead.
Adediran died early on Wednesday during a brief illness.
She served as the Deputy Speaker between 1999 and 2003.
Since then, she has held many political offices including being the Women Leader for the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress.
She was reported to have been sick for two days before her death on Wednesday morning.
