Suspected hoodlums on Sunday killed Captain Abdulkarim Bala Na'Allah, the eldest son of Bala Na'Allah, a senator representing Kebbi South in Kaduna.
The 36-year-old pilot, who married recently, was tied and strangled in his Malali (GRA) residence in Kaduna North Local Government Area while the assailants escaped with his vehicle and personal belongings.
Garba Mohammed, Special Adviser to Senator Na Allah, while confirming the tragic incident said the assailants had gained entrance to the house through the roof behind the house and entered his section through the ceiling.
He disclosed that it was the neighbour’s security guard who noticed the gate of the deceased home opened that raised the alarm which led to the discovery of his dead body.
DAILY TRUST reports that Na Allah, who is presently not in the country, has three sons who are all pilots.
Mohammed said the funeral prayers of the deceased will hold at Yahaya road while burial will take place at Unguwan Sarki cemetery.
Meanwhile, PUNCH reported that in a separate attack in Kajuru, another set of bandits invaded the Makoro Iri Village in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna States and killed two persons.
The bandits were said to have stormed the village and shot indiscriminately and killed the two on Saturday night.
When contacted, State Commissioner for Internal Secretary and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, identified the victims as Gideon Mumini and Barnabas Ezra.
The Commissioner also said that troops of the Operation Safe Haven rescued travellers along the Gidan Waya- Godogodo road in Jema'a LGA of the state.
He gave the names of the rescued travellers as Jibril Salisu, Happy Sunday
and Ruth Dauda.
The Commissioner said, "Security agencies have reported to the Kaduna State Government that two persons were killed by bandits in Makoro Iri village of Kajuru LGA.
"According to the report, bandits invaded the remote village and shot dead the duo identified as Gideon Mumini and Barnabas Ezra."
