UPDATED: Ikoyi building collapse death toll rises to 38
No fewer than 38 dead bodies have been pulled out of the collapsed 21-storey building at the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
Accoridng to the Nation, the news was confrimed by the Acting Coordinator of the Lagos Territorial Office of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye.
Recall that as of Thursday morning, the NEMA boss revealed that there were 36 deaths, including three women wand 33 men.
However, two more deaths have been recorded at the scene of the incident on Thursday afternoon, according to the publication.
As of the time of filing this report, only nine survivors have been rescued by the rescue team at the site of the incident.
