An All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has stated that the bloodshed in the Southeast is orchestrated by the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Igbokwe’s comment comes in response to Senate Minority Leader, Eyinnaya Abaribe’s comment claiming that the perpetrators of the killings, arson as well as unrest in the region are unknown.

Abaribe, while reacting to the murder of Dr. Chike Akunyili, husband to late Dora Akunyili, a former Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, cautioned against pointing of fingers.

Speaking to newsmen, he said, “People in the South East have never been violent and we are not murderers and part of the confusion is that we don’t know who is committing these crimes.”

However, reacting in a Facebook post, hours before his Nnewi home was allegedly razed by IPOB members, Igbokwe disagreed with Abaribe.

Igbokwe said Abaribe knows those responsible for the bloodshed in the region.

“Senator Abaribe please take notice that I am from the Southeast and I am also a critical stakeholder in the region and Nigeria.

“You know it and I know it also that IPOB is responsible for the bloodshed in the Southeast.

“This is the truth and nothing but the truth. Let us for once fear God and speak the truth so as to put the enemies to shame,” the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Drainage and Water Resources said.
