Residents intensified their interrogation to make him explain the reason he visited the place, the suspect was reportedly searched and substances suspected to be charms were found on him.
He was thereafter ordered to kneel, as people claimed he planned to use the charms to kidnap children.
In a video clip of the incident, the suspect was asked who he was working for and his state of origin.
He said; “I work for nobody; I am from Enugu State,” he stated.
He was also seen pleading for mercy while denying the allegations.
Another clip showed residents lamenting, as they displayed the suspected fetish objects.
A resident was heard in the video clip reposted by an Instagram account, Instablog9ja, advising parents to stop sending their children on errands at night.
