Armed Bandits on Wednesday kidnapped a widow in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State in the early hours of Wednesday.
The development is coming hours after her husband who was the former head of Kofa village, Rabe Bello Kofa, died on Tuesday.
DAILY POST reported that the head of Kofa, who was an elder brother to a former Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly died and was interred on Tuesday according to Islamic rites.
Sources said that the bandits initially whisked away five family members, four of whom were later released leaving only the widow in their captivity.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, police said he has little details on the abduction and would inquire from the DPO in charge of the area.
