Female driver plunges into Osun River in Osogbo
A speeding vehicle driven by a woman plunged into the Osun River under the Gbodofon Bridge in Osogbo on Saturday afternoon.
The first responders on the scene of the accident, the Federal Fire Service, revealed that the driver of the vehicle, along the Gbongan-Ibadan Road swerved into the median and plunged into the Osun River.
The FFS said when the accident occured, a Hausa fisherman, Kabo, quickly rushed in and rescued the woman.
Efforts to get the Federal Road Safety Corps to tow the vehicle out of the river were ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
Efforts to contain the resultant gridlock are ongoing.
