Army patrol van burnt as gunmen attack soldiers in Abia
An Army patrol van was reportedly burnt in Abia State as gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra attacked some soldiers.
The Nation reported that the incident happened in the early hours of Friday at the popular Tonimas junction, Osisioma LGA axis, on Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway.
An unnamed security source told the publication that the incident occurred around 3am.
As of the time of filing this report, it is unknown if any of the soldiers or the attackers were injured or killed in the process.
However, residents are said to be aprehensive due to the commotion caused by the incident.
