A 70-year-old guard has bagged life imprisonment for reportedly defiling three girls in Jigawa State.

Reports revealed that Alto Ado had been detained since October 14, 2020, was sentenced on Thursday by a Jigawa State High Court sitting in Kazaure.

Before his arrest, Alto was accused of enticing two youngsters, ages seven and nine, into an unfinished building in Kazaure town forcibly having unlawful sexual intercourse with them.

The presiding judge, Justice Hussaina Adamu Aliyu, stated that the prosecutor’s evidence proved the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

At least five witnesses were presented to testify against the septuagenarian by the prosecutor before he was therefore sentenced to life imprisonment.
