Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has accepted a public retraction from Coach Nancy, Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, over allegations made earlier this year.
Coach Nancy, whose real name is Nancy Nnadi, had accused Chinwo in February of being involved in the alleged diversion of funds linked to a contract dispute between EeZee Conceptz and its founder, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as EeZee Tee.
In a recent post on her Instagram page, Nancy wrote, “On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo. I also pray Almighty God to perfect the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”
Mercy Chinwo had through her lawyers at Law Corridor, led by Pelumi Olajengbesi, filed civil and criminal suits against Nancy at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory. The cases were filed under Suit No. GWD/CV/40/25 and Case No. CR/150/2025.
According to the law firm, strong evidence including emails and receipts was submitted to counter the allegations. Nancy’s legal team later agreed to delete the offensive video, publish a retraction, and stop all negative remarks about the gospel singer.
A letter signed by Emmanuel Omaga of Law Corridor confirmed the matter had been resolved. “We acknowledge and welcome the public retraction issued by Ms. Nancy Nnadi regarding the defamatory statements previously made against Minister Mercy Chinwo Blessed,” it said.
The letter also stated that Chinwo responded to the development “with humility and grace, in the spirit of love and forgiveness.”
Law Corridor praised the cooperation between both legal teams and said the matter had reached a final closure.
