The lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Senator Dino Melaye, has taken a swipe at the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, over his alleged involvement in the mace theft saga at the Senate chamber last year.

Recall that Omo-Agege was fingered as the mastermind of invasion of the Senate chamber by thugs believed to be acting on his orders.

The thugs disrupted proceedings at the Senate and carted away with the mace.

“When you work with a Mace thief.”

In the image, the Senate President Ahmed Lawan was seen standing beside a door post at the National Assembly, while the Sergeants-at-Arm was holding a mace as Omo-Agege approached them smiling.

As Omo-Agege walked closer, Lawan was quoted in the image to have said

“O boy, hold that Mace with two hands ooo. I no trust this Omo Agege. Na tiff.”

The Sergeants-at-Arms replied:

“Oga no worry, I don hold am well.”
