Melaye is shaken but not broken, Bovi says after condolence visit

Comedian Bovi has announced that he paid a condolence visit to his friend, Senator Dino Melaye, over the death if his mother Deaconess Comfort.

The comedian said he had to make a quick stop at the controversial Kogi lawmaker’s residence when he heard of his loss.

Bovi said Melaye is shaken but not broken adding that he was born of a great woman.

He shared a photo of his visit on his Instagram page with the caption;

“When I heard my friend lost his mum, I had to breeze in and out of abuja to pay my respects. He’s shaken but not broken.

“Truly a strong man, born of a great woman.”

Recall that Melaye announced the passing on of his mother via his Twitter handle on Thursday, May 2, 2018.

Commiserating with Melaye, Bukola Saraki, the senate president, said: “My heartfelt prayers and sincere condolences go out to Senator Dino Melaye and his entire family over the passing of their beloved mother, Deaconess Comfort Melaye. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and gives the family the fortitude to bear this significant loss.”

The senator first won a seat to represent Kogi west senatorial district in 2015 and retained the seat during the general election that held in February.
