Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has another reason to celebrate after her book ‘The Bench’ ranked first on New York Times bestsellers list on Thursday.

The news comes just one week after the literature was published.

The American actress, who recently welcomed her new baby, Lili, with Prince Harry, revealed that ‘The Bench’ was inspired by the relationship between Prince Harry and son Archie, and depicts a ‘softer’ side of masculinity.

In a special message to fans on her and Prince Harry’s Archewell website, the 39-year-old revealed that she was glad that the book which began as a love letter to Harry and Archie is resonating with communities everywhere.

She said, “While this poem began as a love letter to my husband and son, I’m encouraged to see that its universal themes of love, representation and inclusivity are resonating with communities everywhere.

“In many ways, pursuing a more compassionate and equitable world begins with these core values. Equally, to depict another side of masculinity — one grounded in connection, emotion, and softness — is to model a world that so many would like to see for their sons and daughters alike.

“Thank you for supporting me in this special project.”
