Recently, reality TV star and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian’s name took over the internet. Most of the mentions were due to the back clap that came after the former porn star superimposed her image on the popular artistic representation of Virgin Mary.

Kardashian was severely criticised for desecrating one of Roman Catholic Church’s most respected figures. But before then, she had unveiled the Kimoji app which got wide acceptance among emoticon enthusiasts.

The Kimoji has 250 emojis depicting the mother of two’s life and persona.

The app costs $1.99 in the Apple Store and NYPost reported that during the launch, at one point over 9,000 people were buying the app per second.

At that rate the 35-year old mother was grossing over $1,000,000 per minute. It was rumoured at the time that the influx of traffic resulted in the Apple Store going down for a few minutes.
