The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, has urged police authorities to carry out a discreet investigation into a murder allegation made against him by one Siyan Akinsanya.
The allegation surfaced in a viral Facebook video in which Siyan Akinsanya claimed to have witnessed MC Oluomo kill a pregnant woman and bury her along with her unborn child in the Oshodi area of Lagos.
The union leader has strongly denied the claim, describing it as a deliberate attempt by opponents to incite public sentiment against him.
In response, MC Oluomo, through his lawyer, Felix Abraham, submitted a petition to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Federal Intelligence Department (FID), demanding a formal probe into what he described as a defamatory accusation.
Dated March 30, 2026, the petition bears the title: “Criminal Intimidation, Assassination of Character, Threatening Violence, Giving Public/Police False Information, Membership of Unlawful Gang, and Inciting Public Peace.”
The solicitor portrayed his client as a law-abiding Nigerian, youth leader, and head of the transport union, stating that he has recently been the target of sustained attacks by individuals allegedly aligned with his rivals, who he said have been spreading falsehoods to damage his reputation.
The petition partly reads that “The above person went on social media (Facebook) to broadcast in a life video that our client committed an act of homicide – that he witnessed him burying a pregnant woman and the unborn baby, using them for rituals. He also vowed to take Police to the cite of burial at Oshodi in Lagos State.”
Through the petition, MC Oluomo called on the police to thoroughly investigate the allegation by inviting Siyan Akinsanya to lead officers to the alleged burial site in Oshodi and exhume the bodies as part of the inquiry.
