A prominent figure within the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Mr. Istijabah, has issued a public apology to Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal following a controversial statement linking her to union funds allegedly misused by Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.

In an earlier video that went viral, Istijabah accused the NURTW president, MC Oluomo, of extravagant spending of the union’s resources on Nollywood actresses.

Among his claims, he alleged that union funds were used to purchase a Toyota Venza for Aisha Lawal, implying that members were plunged into financial hardship due to Oluomo’s lavish lifestyle.

However, in a new video released online, Istijabah retracted the statement directed at Aisha Lawal, clarifying that the allegations were the result of a misunderstanding.

He emphasized that the trolls and accusations were not meant for her specifically.

According to him, the issue had since been resolved privately. In a gesture of reconciliation, Istijabah jokingly mentioned the possibility of buying the actress a new Toyota Venza as a peace offering.

He stated that peace had been restored among all parties involved and expressed his desire to move past the incident.
