Kylian Mbappe has withdrawn his harassment and extortion complaints against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, but is still demanding the €55 million he says the club owes him.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, the Real Madrid forward decided to drop the legal complaint related to how PSG treated him in 2023. However, he is continuing to push for the unpaid sum.
The France international had filed the complaint in May, accusing PSG of trying to force him to sign a new contract by banning him from training with the main squad. A formal investigation into alleged moral harassment was opened after that.
Mbappe had been left out of PSG’s first team for a large part of the 2023 summer due to the contract standoff. He later chose not to extend his deal and joined Real Madrid as a free agent in 2024.
Though the harassment case is now closed, French authorities say two judges are still working on the financial aspect of Mbappe’s complaint.
Mbappe, who rose to fame at Monaco before moving to PSG, has been enjoying a good start at Real Madrid since his move to Spain.
