Nigerian singer Chike has stated that he has no interest in getting married, describing the idea of marriage as a “stupid step” in his view.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the artist shared his personal stance on the institution of marriage.
“In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. That’s my opinion,” he said.
The singer, known for his hit single Running, added that marriage simply isn’t something he sees himself doing.
Chike also spoke candidly about his perspective on happiness, linking it directly to financial stability.
“I need a lot of money to be happy,” he stated, clarifying that his desire for wealth isn’t rooted in greed, but in the lifestyle he hopes to maintain.
He went on to reveal that music wasn’t part of his initial life plan. According to him, his passion for the craft only emerged after completing university.
