Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has asserted that many Nollywood actors are more sound intellectually than many people masquerading as top politicians in the country.
Sharing an Instagram video of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the comedian who became Ukranian president, he said; “The best thing that happens to a country is when citizens are given the opportunity to harness their potentials in all areas.
“Entertainers in Nigeria are loved NOT RESPECTED. MANY ACTORS ARE intellectually BETTER THAN TOP POLITICAL LEADERS.
“Many of these leaders and business owners would rather pay heavily, latest car or house, for a one- night stand with a Nollywood female than tap into her head for content of development for the industry.”
Reacting to his post, @akuezechukwu said; “It’s the climax we change our views about politics in Nigeria, we need new faces , new mentalities and approaches. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬 ####🔥❤️😢

@ethelike said; “KOK, I went to Unilag with you. Heck I saw your come to class day after day. Make no mistake, I love and respect you. But by the time you start talking about stars coming into Politics, it’s a no for me. You, definitely. You can go into Politics, I know first hand that you’re qualified. But you see the rest, no. No, thanks! (Please no one should come here mentioning Reagan; you’ll tell me how the trickle down economics thing worked out for the poor).
@nwachex24 said; “Can we take a bold step next year, can you the celebrities not endorse any of these old cargoes who specialise in stealing our common wealth?
@preciousetim said; “And the Nollywood female would gladly accept. So please, on one hand fix your girls. The display of “yansh” and breasts from all these your ekuke girls na im dey reduce una respect. It wasn’t like this in the days of Genevieve, Rita, Kate, Stella and others. They dished decency even though, they were no saints. Not one of these recent Nollywood females spill sense on their posts. And its very demeaning to your industry, I must say.
