Man Utd’s De Gea to miss Tottenham clash

Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper, David de Gea, is a doubt for the club’s Premier League game against Tottenham.

The Spaniard could be replaced by second choice, Dean Henderson, following a Covid-19 testing issue.

Despite finishing last season as United’s first-choice goalkeeper, Henderson, who celebrates his 25th birthday on Saturday, has been restricted to just three cup appearances this season.

On the other hand, De Gea who has played in all 28 of United’s EPL games this season, has pulled some impressive saves and would be missed by Ralf Ragnick’s side who need a desperate win in their quest for a top-four finish.

After the 4-1 humiliation against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, United continue their tough month with a double-header at Old Trafford against Spurs on Saturday.

The Red Devils host Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Rangnick has since admitted fifth-placed United “have to win” given Arsenal in fourth are not just a point better off but also boast three games in hand, according to Sky Sports.
