Manchester United will face Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after the cancellation of the previous draw due to a “technical problem”.
The Red Devils were earlier drawn against Paris Saint-Germain who will now be facing 13-time champion, Real Madrid, in February 2022.
Recall that UEFA announced the cancellation of the previous draw after “a material error occurred,” forcing it to be “declared void and will be entirely redone at 15:00 CET.”
Following the redraw, Liverpool have been pitted against Inter Milan while Manchester City will take on Sporting Lisbon.
Chelsea are the luckiest of all after they were drawn against Ligue 1 winners Lille – having done so in the first draw as well.
The first leg ties of the last-16 ties will take place on February 15-16 and February 22-23 while the second legs are then on March 8-9 and March 15-16.
