Man Utd fans in Uganda rally, pray ahead of season opener

Some Manchester United fans in Uganda have organized a prayer session ahead of the new Premier League season.

In a video making rounds on social media on Friday, the fans are seen gathered under a tent to pray ahead of the commencement of the 2024/25 season.

The 2024/22 campaign will officially get begin on Friday night when the Red Devils host Fulham at Old Trafford.

Several reactions from social media users have trailed the actions of the fans.

Sharing his opinion on the action, an X user, @Darker skin wrote, “Oh God the rest of the world has seen the video.This is going to be a long season for us United Ugandan fans🤦‍♂️.”

Another user, @mOkapendi wrote, “Why do Africans do this? If they had used all this energy towards holding their governments accountable,Africa will be great.”

Saluting the action, @Ayodeji wrote, “Manchester United is not just a football club, it’s a culture ❤️.”

Praying for the success of the team, @Erukonke wrote, “Yes. May Almighty God bless this season for us. @ManUtd is very grateful for you God our Lord. In Jesus name, we trust and believe. Amen🙏🙏📿🤲😶‍🌫️.”

@Deyorker also wrote, “Man Utd fans are like Nigerians who always pray instead of action 🤣.”
