A 26-year-old woman on Sunday night was robbed and sexually assaulted in her Manhattan home by a stranger with a screwdriver, NBC New York reports.
According to police report, the woman entered her apartment near 213th Street and Broadway in Inwood around 9:30 p.m. when she encountered the man inside.
It was gathered that the attacker was armed with a screwdriver and that he threatened the woman and then forced her to perform a sexual act on him before stealing her phone, laptop, cash and other belongings.
A police car was stationed outside of her home before dawn and as at Monday morning, Police have not reported any arrests in the case.
Meanwhile, the victim told investigators from the Special Victim’s Unit that she and her attacker did not know each other.
