Man United snatch late win over Fulham
Manchester United ended their run of two consecutive defeats with a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The game was heading for a draw until Bruno Fernandez struck in the 90th minute, latching on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and firing a low shot past Marek Rodak.
Fulham were twice denied by good saves from United goalkeeper Andre Onana in the second half, but Fernandes’ late strike proved decisive.
The win is a relief for United manager Erik ten Hag, who had been under pressure after his side’s recent poor form.
However, questions still remain about where United are heading under the Dutchman, after another rather shapeless display.
United are now sixth in the Premier League table with 18 points from 11 games, while Fulham are 14th with 12 points.
