In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves across Buenos Aires, Argentina, 41-year-old Sergio Sarria launched a knife attack on his estranged wife, Débora, stabbing her 28 times before attempting to take his own life.

The brutal assault, captured on CCTV, unfolded in the Núñez neighborhood at the pizzeria where his 45-year-old wife works alongside her new partner.

Speaking after surviving the ordeal, Débora described the attack as “terrifying.”

She said, “He wanted to kill me like an animal. All the stab wounds I have are in my ribs, neck, face, and one eye. It was terrible.”

The footage shows Sarria storming into the pizzeria, leaping over the kitchen barrier, and lunging at Débora with a knife.

A violent struggle ensued, with Débora falling to the ground and shielding her face as Sarria stabbed her repeatedly.

Her new partner and a colleague made desperate attempts to stop the attack, throwing objects at Sarria in an effort to subdue him.

Their intervention may have saved Débora’s life, as she managed to escape the shop, bleeding but alive.

Moments later, as police arrived at the scene, Sarria reportedly turned the weapon on himself, stabbing his neck multiple times in an alleged suicide attempt.

He was taken into custody and remains hospitalized under police supervision.

Débora, who has been discharged from the hospital, revealed that Sarria had a history of abusive behavior during their 23-year marriage.

“Miraculously, he didn’t manage to kill me. I think it’s largely thanks to the help I got,” she said, acknowledging the actions of her colleagues who tried to fend him off.
