Remigus Obiesheike, a 55-year-old commercial motorcyclist, popularly known as Okada, was on Sunday allegedly been killed by his own younger brother, Patrick.
It was gathered that Patrick stabbed his brother to death during an argument over some funds realised for the burial of their 75-year-old deceased mother, Angelina Obiesheikwe.
WuzupNigeria reports that the incident happened at Umulowoshie Umuoahochie autonomous Community in the Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state.
The suspect was said to have fled the scene and currently on the run while Remigus’ corpse has been deposited at a morgue in the area.
Remigus wife was said to have reported the incident at the Obowo Divisional Police Headquarters.
A community source said that the corpse of the victim had been deposited at a morgue in Achingali in the area.
The Police Spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the murder incident on Monday.
He said a manhunt has been launched for the fleeing suspect.
