A North Carolina man left his wife for his biological daughter and even fathered a child by her in an incestuous relationship that left people stunned.
The relationship between Steven Pladl and his daughter, Katie, 20, was discovered when his wife – who has not been named – read one of her daughter’s diary.
Going through the journal, the wife found Katie was pregnant, and Steven was the dad. When confronted, he told his wife about the affair and moved 150 miles with his daughter to Knightdale, North Carolina.
According to reports, Pladl and his wife gave up Katie for adoption as a baby. She, however, got reunited with her biological parents through social media after she turned 18 years old.
She went to live with her biological parents and their two children near Richmond, Virginia, in August 2016 before the couple legally separated three months later, according to WNCN.
His wife told cops her husband would sleep on the floor of Katie’s room in the months before she moved out.
Steven told his other children to call their eldest sibling their ‘stepmom’, according to the police report.
In November last year, a warrant was issued for their arrest.
They were located at an address last week, where officers discovered a baby boy who is understood to be four-months-old.
