In what seemed like a flick from a Hollywood horror movie, a knifeman dressed in the ‘Joker’ costume has reportedly stabbed at least 17 passengers, including a man in his 60s who has been left in a critical condition, on a Tokyo commuter train.
According to the Japanese media, the assailant also saturated the carriage with a flammable liquid and set it on fire.
This attack took place on Sunday evening as partygoers headed for the city centre for Halloween.
UK Metro reports that the 24-year-old suspect was arrested on the spot and is presently being investigated for attempted murder.
